Development Harvesting

Development Harvesting

Need to harvest timber on a development site? You can trust Good Hope, Inc. to get the job done! We provide development harvesting in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana.

We’ve established closed relationships with development contractors throughout each state to mark, harvest, and maintain your timber.

Just like our other land and timber management services, our development harvesting service is tailored to your exact needs. Here’s how it works!

What is Development Harvesting?

Development harvesting is when we remove trees from your land so you can use it as a future development site. This service is important because it allows you to use your land in a way that otherwise wouldn’t be possible with the existing timber stand.

We don’t usually clearcut the land, like what is often required for housing developments. More often than not, we leave healthy trees behind for sustainability and aesthetic purposes.

Development harvesting also recovers high-value timber, so you’re able to profit off of your timber stand while clearing land for development purposes. We can either cut every tree with a certain sized stump or mark trees to be cut in the future.

What is Development Harvesting Used For?

We do development harvesting for a multitude of reasons. Landowners use our services to increase the usefulness of their land for things such as:

  • Trails
  • Parks
  • Structures (Housing, Business, etc.)
  • Hunting
  • And More!
